About the Role: Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent
Each shift begins at the Canada Post depot, where you’ll sort and organize the day’s deliveries before loading up a postal vehicle and heading out on your assigned route. The bulk of your day is spent delivering mail and packages — either on foot or by vehicle — to both residential and business customers across your area.
At the end of each run, you’ll return to the depot to unload incoming mail and packages for subsequent delivery. The role demands physical readiness, comfort working in all weather conditions, and strong reliability and availability for on-call scheduling. Safety is a top priority at Canada Post, and you’ll receive comprehensive training before heading out on your own.

Responsibilities
The day-to-day work of a delivery agent is hands-on and physically engaging. From the moment you arrive at the depot to the time you return at the end of your route, you’ll be keeping Canada’s mail network moving for homes and businesses across your community.
- Sort and prepare the day’s mail and parcels at the depot each morning before heading out
- Load and operate a Canada Post postal vehicle safely and efficiently
- Deliver mail and packages by foot and by vehicle to customers along your assigned route
- Serve residential and business customers across North Vancouver, Squamish, Sea to Sky, and the North Shore
- Unload incoming mail and packages upon returning to the depot for next-day processing
- Work in all weather conditions, maintaining consistent and reliable service year-round
Requirements / Skills
Canada Post is looking for dependable, physically capable individuals who take pride in serving their community. The ideal candidate is comfortable behind the wheel, comfortable outdoors, and available to work flexible on-call hours as needed.
- Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years (driver’s abstract required)
- Physical ability to lift items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout each shift
- Ability to work outdoors year-round in all types of weather
- On-call availability to respond to scheduling as required
- English and/or French language proficiency — reading, writing, and speaking
- Customer service experience is considered an asset
- Delivery or driving experience is a definite advantage
