About the Role: Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent

Your day begins at the depot, where you’ll sort and prepare deliveries before loading up a Canada Post vehicle and heading out on your assigned route. The majority of your shift is spent outdoors — delivering mail and packages by foot or vehicle to customers in your area. It’s a physically engaging role that keeps you moving all day and puts you in direct contact with the communities Canada Post serves.

This is a temporary, on-call position, meaning your schedule will vary depending on operational needs. Beyond the day-to-day deliveries, you’ll also return to the depot at the end of your shift to unload incoming mail and packages for later delivery. Responsibilities

As a Delivery Agent with Canada Post, your day is structured around getting the right mail and parcels to the right people — efficiently and safely. Each responsibility plays a direct role in keeping Canadians connected and ensuring the smooth operation of one of the country’s largest logistics networks.

• Sort and prepare the day’s deliveries at the depot before heading out on route
• Load and operate a Canada Post postal vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
• Deliver mail and packages by foot or vehicle to residential and business customers along your assigned route
• Work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions, maintaining service levels regardless of the season
• Unload incoming mail and packages upon returning to the depot to prepare for future deliveries
• Represent Canada Post professionally as the face of the organization in the community

Requirements / Skills

Canada Post is looking for candidates who are physically capable, reliable, and community-minded. The ideal applicant is comfortable working independently outdoors and holds the necessary credentials to operate a postal vehicle safely. Prior experience in delivery or customer-facing roles is a definite asset.

• Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record for at least 3 years (driver’s abstract required)
• Physical ability to lift items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the shift
• Availability to be on-call and flexible with scheduling as operational needs arise
• Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout the year
• French language proficiency — French is essential for this Beloeil location; English and/or French are both noted as requirements
• Customer service experience is an asset, as is prior experience in delivery or driving roles
