Walmart Canada’s St. Vital Centre location in Winnipeg, Manitoba is hiring a General Merchandise Associate to join their in-store team. This is a Regular/Permanent position offering a variety of shifts — mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights — making it a flexible option for candidates at different stages of their careers.

About the Role: General Merchandise Associate

As a General Merchandise Associate at Walmart Canada, your main focus is delivering excellent customer service while maintaining the appearance and functionality of your assigned area on the sales floor. You’ll be stocking shelves, zoning merchandise, moving feature products to their modular homes, and working recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk. The role also involves assisting with Front End coverage and communicating with fellow associates to ensure the floor is always properly covered.

Beyond keeping shelves full and customers served, you’ll play an active role in maintaining a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment. This includes completing safety sweep logs, ensuring displays and fixtures are secure, and following all company policies and procedures. You’ll also set and complete modulars — including flex modulars — and apply product protection as required.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $16.15 per hour. • Stock merchandise and perform downstocking as applicable; apply product protection when required
• Set and complete modulars, including flex modulars, and set new shelf caps
• Support Front End coverage and communicate with fellow associates to ensure the floor is always properly staffed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment by following company policies, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure
