General Merchandise Associate – Walmart – Winnipeg, MB

Walmart Canada’s store at 1001 Empress St in Winnipeg, Manitoba is looking for a General Merchandise Associate to join their retail team. About the Role: General Merchandise Associate

As a General Merchandise Associate, your core focus is maintaining a well-stocked, well-organized salesfloor while delivering excellent customer service. You’ll cover assigned areas, zone merchandise, move feature products to their modular homes, and assist with recovery from the Customer Service desk. You’ll also pitch in with Front End coverage when needed and communicate with teammates to keep floor coverage consistent throughout your shift.

Keeping the store safe, clean, and hazard-free is a key part of this job. You’ll follow Walmart’s company policies and procedures, complete safety sweep logs, and make sure displays and fixtures are secure at all times. Whether you’re setting modulars, applying product protection, or stocking new shelf caps, attention to detail and a team-first attitude go a long way here.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $16.15 per hour. • Stock merchandise, downstock as applicable, apply product protection when required, and set and complete modulars including flex modulars and new shelf caps
• Assist with Front End coverage as needed to support overall store operations
• Communicate with fellow associates to ensure consistent floor coverage throughout the shift
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment by following company policies and procedures, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure
