About the Role: General Merchandise Associate

As a General Merchandise Associate at Walmart Windsor, you’ll be responsible for maintaining assigned areas of the salesfloor, ensuring products are properly stocked and displayed, and helping customers find what they’re looking for. Responsibilities

Day-to-day, a General Merchandise Associate at Walmart keeps the salesfloor running smoothly — from stocking shelves and zoning product areas to assisting customers throughout their shopping experience. These responsibilities are the backbone of a well-functioning store and directly impact customer satisfaction and sales performance.

• Greet and assist customers in a polite and friendly manner, helping them locate merchandise, promoting products and services, and resolving concerns where appropriate
• Cover and zone assigned salesfloor areas to ensure merchandise is properly displayed and sections remain organized
• Move feature merchandise to its modular home and recover items from the Customer Service desk and other store areas
• Stock merchandise and perform downstocking as applicable, applying product protection when required
• Set and complete modulars, including flex modulars, and set new shelf caps
• Assist with Front End coverage as needed to support overall store operations
• Communicate with fellow associates to ensure consistent floor coverage is maintained across shifts
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by following company policies, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure
