About the Role: Food Counter Attendant

As a Food Counter Attendant at Tim Hortons Selkirk, you’ll be on the front lines of the customer experience — serving guests at the counter, taking orders accurately, and ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly. You’ll work across kitchen, counter, and cleaning duties, making this a well-rounded position in a rural area food service establishment.

Benefits and Salary

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll handle a wide range of tasks that keep the restaurant running efficiently and customers satisfied. From food prep and order-taking to cleaning and restocking, your contributions directly impact the quality of every guest’s experience at Tim Hortons.

• Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, taking orders accurately and efficiently
• Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, and portion and wrap foods for service
• Operate the cash register and electronic food dispensers
• Package take-out food and replenish condiments and supplies at tables and serving areas
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, appliances, and equipment
• Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and load buspans and trays
• Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
• Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards
• Remove kitchen garbage and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
• Handle and store cleaning products safely and properly
