Driver Helper – UPS – Ottawa, Ontario – $17.30/Hour

Key Responsibilities
As a Driver Helper, you will play a key role in supporting UPS Package Drivers by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of packages. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the delivery and pick-up of packages at UPS drop boxes and customer locations.
- Handling packages of varying sizes and weights, up to 70 lbs. (32 kg), using a hand cart.
- Walking 3–5 hours outside in a defined area to deliver parcels on foot.
- Following UPS appearance standards and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Opportunities for extra hours during the busy season.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
- Available to work Monday to Friday (5 days per week).
- Ability to work 3-5 hours per shift, with a total of up to 25 hours per week.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32 kg) – a hand cart is provided.
- Comfortable working outside and walking for extended periods.
- Driver’s license is not required.
- Must be able to work up to 25 hours per week.
Compensation & Benefits
UPS offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.30 per hour for this position. In addition to your hourly wage, UPS provides the following benefits:
