Day Remodel Associate – Walmart – Saint-Laurent, QC

Walmart Canada is currently hiring a Day Remodel Associate at its Saint-Laurent, QC location. This is a temporary (fixed-term) position with a flexible schedule that covers mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights. As a Day Remodel Associate, you’ll work alongside the Remodel Lead and Day Remodel Manager to help establish standards in newly renovated departments. Your day-to-day will involve setting modulars, stocking a wide range of departments, securing high-ticket merchandise, and making sure customers still have a smooth shopping experience even while construction is underway.

About the Role: Day Remodel Associate

This role goes beyond typical stocking duties. You’ll be actively involved in department remodelling — printing mod sheets, installing electronic shelf labels (ESL), building new counters using kit sheets, and moving fixtures using appropriate equipment. You’ll stock departments ranging from General Merchandise and Fashion to Grocery, Dairy/Frozen, and Fresh Departments, following all guidelines to maintain cold chain compliance and quality assurance.

Safety is a key part of this position. You may occasionally work in construction areas, which can require steel-toed boots and a hard hat. You’ll also play a role in shrink prevention by scanning damaged or stolen merchandise promptly, and you’ll help maintain the clearance zone and ensure proper in-stock levels before and after department resets.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $18.75 per hour. Responsibilities

As a Day Remodel Associate at Walmart Saint-Laurent, your work directly supports the store’s renovation efforts while keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly for customers. You’ll balance physical setup tasks with strong customer service, making this a varied and active role.

• Secure high-ticket merchandise by ensuring it is properly stored in designated locations throughout the remodel process
• Set modulars by printing mod sheets and labels, cleaning counters, installing ESL and DSM, and linking mods to DSM labels where required
• Stock multiple departments including General Merchandise, Fashion, Consumables, Grocery, Dairy/Frozen, and Fresh
• Follow cold chain compliance guidelines to maintain product quality and food safety standards
• Support shrink prevention by scanning all damaged and stolen merchandise in a timely manner
• Build new counters using kit sheets provided by the Warehouse Associates as per prints from the Lead Specialist
• Move counters and fixtures using the appropriate equipment safely and efficiently
• Merchandise endcaps, action alley, and side counters in accordance with established standards
• Assist customers proactively while remodel work is ongoing, helping them locate products and answering questions accurately
• Work in construction areas when required, adhering to safety standards including steel toes and hard hat usage
