Collision Supervisor (Night Shift) – Tesla – Oakville, ON

About the Role: Collision Supervisor (Night Shift)

As the Collision Centre Supervisor, you’ll serve as the primary leader on the shop floor during night shift operations. Your day-to-day will involve overseeing production workflow, coaching technicians, maintaining shop records, and working closely with the Associate Manager to scale shop output in line with company targets. You’ll apply root cause analysis and critical thinking to continuously refine work standards and resolve issues as they arise.

This role also carries responsibility for safety compliance — ensuring all team members follow the collision centre’s safety program and applicable regulations. You’ll schedule staff effectively, support professional development through regular one-on-ones, and foster clear, consistent communication across the team to keep everyone aligned on daily goals and broader organizational priorities.

Tesla offers a competitive compensation package for this Collision Supervisor position, with an expected annual salary range of $92,400 to $138,600, plus cash and stock awards. Responsibilities

In this leadership position, the Collision Supervisor is responsible for keeping the night shift running smoothly from both a people and production standpoint. You’ll balance hands-on coaching with strategic oversight, ensuring the team consistently delivers quality work while meeting operational targets.

• Supervise and coach assigned technicians to meet quality standards and facility goals on the night shift
• Manage workflow through the facility, acting as the process leader for all shop floor activities
• Define and improve work standards in collaboration with technicians and the broader team
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and the collision centre’s safety program
• Schedule staff to meet facility needs while accommodating vacations and time off per company policy
• Select and onboard team members, ensuring they receive required training and ongoing development support
• Conduct one-on-one meetings to support individual professional growth and career advancement
• Communicate daily with all team members to align on goals and share information affecting the facility
• Partner with the Associate Manager to scale production and meet company targets
• Resolve technical and personnel issues as they arise, using root cause analysis to implement quick countermeasures

Requirements / Skills

Tesla is looking for a candidate who brings both collision industry expertise and genuine leadership ability. The ideal person is organized, accountable, and capable of developing a high-performing team while keeping production on track in a fast-paced environment.

• Leadership experience of 0–1+ years in a collision centre, refurbishment centre, service centre, or similar operation
• Collision technical experience of 5–10+ years or demonstrated technical aptitude in a related field
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, set goals, and meet deadlines
• Root cause problem-solving ability to lead group analysis and develop quick countermeasures
• Communication skills that allow for effective interaction with employees and customers alike
• Microsoft Office proficiency and familiarity with repair estimates
• Valid driver’s licence (preferred)
