Job Summary & Tips for Applying
Quick Summary & What to Highlight: This Bakery InStore Clerk role at Loblaws in Mississauga is a part-time day position paying $17.95–$18.45 per hour with no prior experience required. A candidate should put their ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and their flexible availability (days, evenings and weekends) front of mind, as both directly support the stocking and customer-facing duties described in the posting.
Resume & Application Tips: Mirror the posting’s own language on your resume: phrases like stocking product displays, responding to customer needs and maintaining health and safety standards match what the role asks for. If you’ve worked any retail, grocery, food service or warehouse shift where you moved stock and dealt with customers, describe it in concrete terms. For physical work like this, a line such as “Restocked 200+ SKUs per shift while maintaining accurate inventory counts” shows the kind of output that fits. Note that a criminal background check is required if you are 18 or older, so have identification ready.
Interview Preparation: Prepare a short example of a time you handled a customer question or resolved a problem on the floor without much supervision, since the posting specifically asks for someone who is resourceful and courteous when dealing with customers. Be ready to confirm your flexible availability for days, evenings and weekends, as that is a stated requirement. Worth asking: what a typical day shift looks like in the bakery department, and whether any product knowledge training is provided beyond the initial onboarding.
