About the Role: Casual Package Handler
As a Casual Package Handler at the Cambridge FedEx facility located at 80 Goddard Crescent, you’ll be working directly in the package flow — moving freight efficiently and accurately through the facility. Responsibilities
Working on the package floor at FedEx Cambridge means keeping freight moving accurately and on time. Each shift, you’ll be contributing directly to the smooth flow of packages through the facility — a role where reliability and physical capability matter every day.
- Load and unload freight from trailers and transport vehicles at the facility
- Scan packages using FedEx scanning systems to ensure accurate tracking
- Sort freight according to destination and routing requirements
- Lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs independently, and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment
- Complete all mandatory training, including basic onboarding and recurrency sessions
- Operate PC/Windows-based systems as required during package processing
- Maintain accreditations and complete annual recurrence training as applicable
Requirements / Skills
FedEx is looking for dependable candidates who are physically capable and ready to work in a fast-moving warehouse environment. A positive attitude and the ability to follow procedures carefully will go a long way in this role.
- High School Diploma or GED — preferred but not mandatory
