In this role, you’ll be working at the top of the sales funnel — prospecting, qualifying leads, and building relationships with decision-makers at organizations of all sizes. About the Role: Associate Account Executive, Cloud Sales Center

As a Demand Generation Representative (DGR) at AWS, you’ll own the full top-of-funnel pipeline for your assigned territories. You’ll be responsible for sourcing new contacts, qualifying leads, completing customer calls, scheduling meetings, and generating opportunities — all while maintaining an accurate record of your activity in Salesforce CRM. The role requires a blend of technical acumen and strong communication skills to effectively uncover and respond to the critical business issues your prospects face.

Beyond prospecting new logos, you’ll also work to expand service consumption within existing customer accounts through strategic account planning and territory management. Collaboration is central to how the team operates — you’ll partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop comprehensive prospecting plans and ensure every opportunity moves forward with clearly defined next steps.

Responsibilities

This role sits at the heart of AWS’s demand generation engine, with the primary mission of building and advancing pipeline across thousands of accounts. You’ll be expected to move quickly, think strategically, and communicate with clarity — whether you’re running outbound campaigns or qualifying inbound leads from marketing and partner channels. Here’s what the day-to-day looks like:

  • Prospect and qualify new business opportunities through high-volume outbound campaigns (one-to-many and one-to-one) and inbound lead qualification from marketing and partner channels
  • Conduct account research at scale to identify and source net-new contacts across your assigned territories
  • Collaborate with Account Teams to ensure opportunities are well understood and next steps are clearly defined through discovery, demonstration, and qualification
  • Build relationships across all organizational levels — from technical administrators to senior line-of-business executives
  • Track and manage pipeline accurately using Salesforce CRM and self-service reporting tools
  • Develop prospecting plans with internal and external partners to uncover new customer use cases
  • Expand service consumption within existing accounts through proactive account planning and territory management
  • Understand each customer’s technology footprint, technical challenges, and business objectives to provide relevant AWS solutions
