Dollarama is looking for an Assistant Team Leader to join its team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Day to day, you’ll be working alongside the management team to keep the store organized, well-stocked, and running efficiently. From cash management and opening and closing duties to coaching staff and delivering strong customer service, this role puts you right at the centre of store operations.

About the Role: Assistant Team Leader

As an Assistant Team Leader at Dollarama, you’ll take on a meaningful mix of floor-level and supervisory responsibilities. You’ll help manage daily shipments, ensure shelves are properly stocked to presentation standards, and step into manager-on-duty tasks when needed — including tracking attendance and making sure breaks are covered.

This role also involves participating in employee training, resolving customer concerns, and upholding store safety and cleanliness standards. You’ll be expected to bring both leadership presence and hands-on effort to every shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist the management team in overseeing store operations and staff on a daily basis
• Box and unbox daily shipments and stock products on shelves according to presentation standards
• Provide customer service and resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner
• Ensure compliance with store safety and cleanliness standards
• Conduct manager-on-duty tasks, including confirming breaks are taken and entering attendance records
• Perform cash management as well as store opening and closing duties as required
• Participate in employee training to support team development

Requirements / Skills

• Approximately one year of relevant experience in the retail industry
• Approximately one year in a supervisory role within a retail or similar environment
• Flexible availability including day, evening, and weekend shifts
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and competing priorities effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a customer service mindset
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to multitask in a dynamic setting
