About the Role: Assistant Team Leader

As an Assistant Team Leader at Dollarama Winnipeg, you’ll play a hands-on part in the daily rhythm of the store. From receiving shipments to coaching staff and making sure customers walk away satisfied, your work directly supports the store’s success. You’ll take on manager-on-duty responsibilities as needed, which includes monitoring breaks, tracking attendance, and contributing to a safe, clean retail environment.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Team Leader role at Dollarama covers a broad range of store-level duties. • Assist management in overseeing store operations and supervising staff on a day-to-day basis
• Process daily shipments by boxing and unboxing incoming merchandise efficiently
• Stock products on shelves daily in accordance with Dollarama’s presentation standards
• Deliver customer service and handle customer issues professionally and promptly
• Uphold safety and cleanliness standards throughout the store at all times
• Conduct manager-on-duty tasks, including confirming breaks are taken and recording attendance
• Perform cash management and handle store opening and closing duties as required
• Participate in training new employees and supporting the ongoing development of the team

Requirements / Skills

• Approximately one year of retail experience in a relevant role within the industry
• Approximately one year in a supervisory capacity, demonstrating leadership and accountability
• Flexible availability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts as needed
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and prioritize effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and colleagues alike
• Ability to multitask and perform confidently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
