About the Role: Assistant Team Leader

Responsibilities
The Assistant Team Leader at Dollarama Halifax handles a mix of floor-level retail work and supervisory duties. From receiving daily shipments to supporting staff on the floor, you’ll be an important link between the management team and store associates.
- Supporting management in overseeing store operations and staff coordination
- Boxing and unboxing daily shipments efficiently and accurately
- Stocking shelves with daily products in compliance with Dollarama’s presentation standards
- Delivering customer service and resolving customer concerns in a professional manner
- Upholding store safety and cleanliness standards at all times
- Performing manager-on-duty tasks, including tracking daily breaks and entering attendance records
- Handling cash management and completing store opening and closing duties as required
- Participating in employee training to support team development and onboarding
Requirements / Skills
Dollarama is looking for a candidate who brings a combination of retail experience and supervisory confidence to the table. You should be comfortable working across a variety of shifts and capable of juggling multiple priorities in a busy store environment.
- Approximately one year of experience in the retail industry
- Approximately one year in a supervisory role, demonstrating leadership ability
- Flexible availability across day, evening, and weekend shifts
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
