About the Role: Assistant Team Leader
As an Assistant Team Leader at Dollarama in Timberlea, you’ll be actively involved in the day-to-day running of the store. Responsibilities
As an Assistant Team Leader, your day will involve a mix of operational duties, customer-facing moments, and supervisory tasks. You’ll be a key point of contact for both staff and shoppers, helping ensure the store operates efficiently and meets Dollarama’s presentation and safety standards.
- Assist the management team in overseeing store operations and staff on a daily basis
- Receive and process shipments by boxing and unboxing daily deliveries
- Stock shelves daily in compliance with Dollarama’s product presentation standards
- Deliver customer service and resolve any customer issues that arise during your shift
- Contribute to store safety and cleanliness by upholding and monitoring standards throughout the store
- Perform manager-on-duty tasks, including ensuring daily breaks are taken and attendance is recorded
- Handle cash management and carry out store opening and closing duties as required
- Support employee training by participating in the onboarding and development process for new team members
Requirements / Skills
Dollarama is looking for a candidate who brings a combination of retail experience and supervisory confidence to the role. The ideal person is organized, communicative, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a high-traffic store environment. Flexible availability — including evenings and weekends — is essential.
- Approximately one (1) year of relevant retail experience to understand store operations and customer needs
