Assistant Store Manager – Dollarama – Mississauga, ON

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Store Manager to keep daily operations running smoothly. When the Store Manager isn’t on site, you’ll step in as the Manager on Duty, taking charge of the floor and the team. About the Role: Assistant Store Manager

As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting and sometimes fully overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store. This means making sure company policies and procedures are clearly communicated and followed by every team member, that inventory counts are completed accurately and on schedule, and that merchandising standards are consistently maintained throughout the store.

You’ll also play an active role in recruiting and onboarding new employees, helping to build a capable and motivated team. • Support the Store Manager in overseeing all daily retail store operations

• Ensure merchandising practices are followed consistently throughout the store
• Participate in recruitment and training activities for new employees

Requirements / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the retail industry
• Team management experience is required
• Strong leadership and communication skills to guide and motivate staff
• Excellent time management and ability to organize priorities effectively
• Comfortable with physical tasks including use of ladders, up-and-down movements, and heavy lifting
• Availability to work 40–50 hours weekly, including days, evenings, and weekends
• Flexibility to travel within the assigned region as needed
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
