Job Responsibilities
Amazon is seeking an Amazon Fresh Grocery Associate to join their team in Encino, CA. This role is designed to deliver an extraordinary grocery shopping experience for customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, a willingness to continuously learn, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Daily tasks will vary based on store needs, and may include the following responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers, engage in friendly conversations, and inquire about their shopping needs.
- Product Knowledge: Offer product recommendations and provide information to help customers make informed decisions.
- Checkout Operations: Operate cash registers to complete customer transactions and assist in self-service checkout lanes.
- Return Processing: Receive and process returns, both in-store and from Amazon.com.
- Fresh Food Preparation: Prepare fresh food items such as cold salads, pizzas, rotisserie chickens, and sandwiches.
- Store Presentation: Stock shelves and produce, set up merchandise displays, and maintain a clean sales floor.
- Inventory Management: Unload product deliveries and organize the stockroom.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick items to fulfill customer grocery orders for pickup and delivery.

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to understand and perform duties safely in English.
- BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1+ year of customer service experience.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 49 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift (up to 8 hours).
