About the Role: Senior Engagement Manager
As a Senior Engagement Manager within AWS ProServe, you’ll lead the planning and delivery of large-scale cloud migration and implementation projects for enterprise clients across Canada. You’ll work closely with customer teams and AWS Partner Network (APN) partners to execute cloud computing initiatives, applying frameworks like the AWS Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework to keep projects technically sound and business-aligned. Your day-to-day will involve decomposing complex technical challenges into actionable deliverables, managing risks proactively, and communicating clearly with both engineering teams and C-suite stakeholders.
This role requires a balance of technical credibility and program management discipline. You’ll be expected to validate solutions against business goals, recognize when additional technical evaluation is needed, and contribute to documentation standards — all while holding yourself and your teams to a high bar for delivery quality. AWS certifications are expected as part of your ongoing professional development in this position.
Benefits and Salary
The base salary for this position ranges from $126,000 to $210,400 CAD annually, with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon’s total compensation package may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life and AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional resources to support health and well-being. Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind complex cloud solution delivery — from initial scoping through to successful client outcomes. Your responsibilities span technical leadership, stakeholder management, and hands-on project execution, requiring you to operate effectively at every level of an engagement.
- Lead and manage complex cloud migration and implementation projects from end to end
- Leverage comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning

- Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to measurable business outcomes

- Contribute to technical documentation and define documentation standards across engagements

Requirements / Skills
AWS ProServe is looking for someone with deep enterprise IT delivery experience and the technical fluency to earn the trust of both engineering teams and executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable drawing up a cloud architecture trade-off analysis and presenting a project status to a VP — and knows when to do each.
- 7+ years of experience leading and delivering enterprise-level IT engagements
- Knowledge of public cloud value propositions and cloud engagement delivery models, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
- Experience leading multiple Agile teams concurrently (e.g., Scrum Masters, Product Owners) at scale
- 5+ years of experience delivering customer engagements in a professional services role (preferred)
- Active project management certification such as APM, CSM, PMI-ACP, or PRINCE2 (preferred)
- AWS certification (preferred, with expectation to achieve and maintain relevant certifications in role)
- Experience presenting to C-level executives and engaging across IT and lines of business (preferred)
