About the Role: Onsite Medical Representative

As an OMR, you’ll independently assess and administer first aid to Amazon Associates (AAs) dealing with both occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses. You’ll refer cases to outside medical providers when needed, maintain meticulous records of all care provided, and coordinate workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for those with work-related injuries. You’ll also participate in weekly case management review meetings and associate safety committee meetings, contributing to a culture of proactive safety.

This role involves working on the operations floor alongside associates and leadership, providing coaching on at-risk work habits and maintaining a clean, well-stocked medical environment. You’ll uphold your first aid, CPR, and AED credentials, participate in certification training, and assist with emergency response protocols. Flexibility is essential — shifts can include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

This position offers a base hourly wage ranging from $31.00 to $51.77 CAD, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. As a total compensation employer, Amazon’s package may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Responsibilities

The Onsite Medical Representative plays a central role in maintaining associate health and safety at the Acheson site. From frontline first aid to administrative recordkeeping and safety coaching, the work is varied, physically active, and directly tied to the wellbeing of your colleagues. Here’s what the role involves on a regular basis:

  • Provide first aid support and make referrals to outside medical providers as necessary
  • Minimize injury risk among associates through awareness, education, and proactive engagement on the floor
  • Maintain all records of care provided to Amazon Associates
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for associates with work-related injuries
  • Submit daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports

  • Facilitate first aid, CPR, and AED certification classes and maintain your own credentials
  • Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols
  • Support emergency response and maintain effective care delivery during emergencies

Requirements / Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required

  • CPR course completion required within 3 weeks of start date
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and applications
  • Physical capability to lift up to 49 lbs, stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift, and work in variable temperature environments
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
