About the Role: UI Engineer (Web), Apple Services Engineering

As a UI Engineer on the App Store Connect team, your day-to-day centres on building performant, reusable front-end features and components within a sophisticated large-scale web application. You’ll work across the full front-end stack — from responsive layouts and browser APIs to state management and accessibility — while participating in code reviews and working within shared repositories through continuous development and deployment cycles.

Collaboration is central to this role. You’ll work closely with Design, Backend, QA, Operations, Project Management, and Product Marketing teams to deliver experiences that meet Apple’s exacting standards for quality, performance, and privacy. Whether you’re troubleshooting a tricky rendering issue or contributing to API schema design, you’ll be expected to ask sharp questions and bring solid engineering judgment to every decision.

Benefits and Salary

The base pay range for this role is $153,700 to $230,500 CAD, with your exact compensation based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be hands-on building and maintaining the App Store Connect web platform — a critical tool used by developers across the globe. Your contributions will directly shape how developers interact with Apple’s ecosystem, so attention to detail, code quality, and performance are non-negotiable parts of the job.

• Build and maintain performant, reusable front-end features and components for the App Store Connect platform
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Backend, QA, Operations, Project Management, and Product Marketing teams
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to shared repositories within regular release cycles
• Implement responsive layouts with strong attention to accessibility and browser API best practices
• Contribute to API schema design and integrate REST APIs into front-end features
• Troubleshoot engineering problems collaboratively and independently across complex, multi-environment systems
• Maintain high standards for visual quality, privacy, and user experience in line with Apple’s design principles
• Work across front-end build systems including Webpack, Babel, NPM, and Node.js

Requirements / Skills

Apple is looking for a senior-level front-end engineer who combines technical depth with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for crafting excellent user experiences. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with high standards at every level.

• 5+ years of web application development experience in JavaScript or TypeScript
• 2+ years with ReactJS or an equivalent front-end framework such as Angular or Vue.js
• Advanced front-end development skills including browser APIs, responsive layouts, accessibility, and performance optimization (2+ years)
• Front-end architecture knowledge including state management systems and reusable component design
• REST API familiarity including experience contributing to API schema design and integration
• Experience with front-end build tools such as Webpack, Babel, NPM, and Node.js
• Strong understanding of UX/design principles with the ability to participate meaningfully in design discussions
• Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail — essential for working across multiple cross-functional teams
