Responsibilities

In this role, your day-to-day will involve architecting and building features that enable creators to manage media and collaborate more effectively within Apple’s suite of professional apps.   • Architect and build media management and collaboration features for creative tools including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and iWork
  • Set the direction and technical architecture of new collaborative features as an early team member
  • Collaborate closely with human interface designers, quality assurance teams, and cross-functional groups throughout the development cycle
  • Drive features from initial concept all the way through to delivery, maintaining code quality and sustainability
  • Influence decisions beyond code, including user interface design and project planning discussions
  • Contribute to an open, inclusive, and psychologically safe engineering team culture
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to leadership

Requirements / Skills

Apple is looking for a self-motivated iOS engineer who brings both technical depth and strong interpersonal skills to the table. The right candidate is comfortable navigating ambiguity, takes ownership of their work, and is genuinely curious about creative software and the people who use it.

  • 2+ years of proven experience shipping high-quality, tested code on iOS and/or macOS
  • Strong understanding of architectural patterns commonly used in Apple platform development
  • Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals and object-oriented design principles
  • Strong proficiency in Swift and at least one UI framework such as SwiftUI, UIKit, or AppKit
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Preferred: Experience with modern Swift concurrency (async/await and actors), Swift Testing or XCTest, and a demonstrated interest in Apple’s creative pro apps such as Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, iMovie, or GarageBand
