Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain automated validation frameworks for data pipelines and backend services

• Contribute to scalable and reusable test automation frameworks built for complex, evolving systems

Requirements / Skills

Apple is looking for a self-driven engineer with deep technical expertise and the ability to communicate effectively across teams. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in backend test automation, a solid command of Big Data technologies, and a genuine passion for building quality into systems from the ground up.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of industry experience in a similar backend quality or test engineering role
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or Java for backend test automation and data validation
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience validating large-scale datasets in distributed or data lake environments
• REST API testing experience, including automation of API test suites
• CI/CD pipeline experience with continuous testing frameworks
• Shift-Left testing practices — proven track record of embedding automation early in the SDLC
• Big Data frameworks (Spark, Kafka, Flink, Hadoop, Hive, Iceberg) — hands-on experience preferred
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized environments is an asset
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills
