About the Role: Tools Software Engineer, Developer Workflows

As part of the internal tools team within Apple’s SWE organization, you’ll be responsible for taking some of the most sophisticated tooling in the industry and making it seamless and intuitive. Apple offers a base pay range of $119,100 to $230,500 for this role in Vancouver, with your exact pay depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Beyond base salary, Apple employees are eligible to participate in discretionary stock programs, including restricted stock unit (RSU) award recommendations and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Responsibilities

Working within the Workflow Experience team, you’ll tackle some of the most complex tooling challenges in the software industry. Your contributions will directly influence how thousands of Apple engineers write, build, and ship software every day — across all of Apple’s platforms and products.

  • Design and build client/server applications and tooling that support the full software development lifecycle
  • Develop software across all Apple platforms, from macOS daemons to iOS applications and everything in between
  • Simplify complex workflows by creating seamless, intuitive experiences for internal engineering teams
  • Drive continuous software delivery patterns and modern engineering practices across the organization
  • Collaborate with engineers across SWE to understand workflow pain points and deliver targeted tooling solutions
  • Lead complex projects from conception through delivery, maintaining a strong focus on the end-user experience
  • Ensure quality through rigorous use of Xcode, lldb, Instruments, and other debugging tools
