Responsibilities
Stockers at Costco Kelowna are the backbone of a well-run warehouse floor. From the moment you start your shift, you’ll be focused on keeping product levels high, displays organized, and the sales floor safe and accessible for members. Here’s a closer look at what the role involves:
- Stock and straighten merchandise throughout the warehouse, aligning product and maintaining high shelf levels
- Communicate with supervisors to determine daily merchandising priorities and write up lists of product to be retrieved from steel by the forklift driver
- Operate a manual pallet jack to move and position merchandise pallets across the sales floor
- Use a box knife to cut boxes for product display and accessibility, and to remove twine or shrink-wrap from pallets
- Create computer-generated signs and verify that all products have correct, visible signage; mark unmarked product using a marking gun
- Set up and modify display models, including assembling units and securing heavy equipment for safe member handling
- Maintain a clean sales floor by pulling cardboard and slip-sheets, sweeping debris, removing empty pallets, and operating the cardboard bailer and trash compactor
- Provide courteous member service by helping load large items, directing members to products, and sharing product availability information
- Assist in other warehouse areas as needed to support overall operations
Requirements / Skills
