About the Role: Software Developer III, Mobile (iOS)
As a Software Developer III on the Google Home team, you’ll develop iOS mobile applications using Swift, manage project priorities and deliverables, and design solutions that perform at enormous scale. Responsibilities
Day-to-day, you’ll be writing and reviewing code for iOS mobile applications that are part of the Google Home ecosystem. From debugging system issues to leading design reviews, your work directly influences how millions of users experience their connected homes.
- Write product and system development code for iOS mobile applications within the Google Home platform
- Review code developed by others and provide constructive feedback on style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency
- Contribute to existing documentation and educational content, updating materials based on product changes and user feedback
- Triage product and system issues, debugging and resolving by analyzing the root causes and their impact on hardware, network, or service quality
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to evaluate and decide amongst available technologies
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise
Requirements / Skills

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field

- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Preferred: Experience with coding, system health, diagnosis and resolution, and developing software tests
- Preferred: Familiarity with Objective-C, Java, Kotlin, or non-iOS mobile development
- Preferred: Experience developing APIs and integrating third-party services
