About the Role: Software Developer, Early Career

This position is part of Google’s campus recruiting programme, meaning you’ll be considered across a range of software development teams after completing the interview process. Roles vary by location and will be discussed in more detail with a recruiter. As a software developer, your core focus will be designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software that serves billions of users worldwide. You’ll own your project deliverables and be expected to see tasks through to completion — even when challenges arise.

Benefits and Salary

Requirements / Skills

Google is looking for technically strong candidates who are curious, adaptable, and ready to contribute to large-scale engineering challenges. Whether you’ve built your skills through coursework, internships, or open-source projects, what matters most is demonstrated problem-solving ability and a passion for software development.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with data structures or algorithms through coursework, research, internships, or open-source work
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript
• Experience using AI productivity tools to support business or development workflows
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field is an asset (preferred, not required)
• Exposure to web or mobile development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed systems, machine learning, or security is a plus
• Experience with accessible technology development is considered an asset
