About the Role: Service Deli Clerk
As a Service Deli Clerk, your day will involve preparing and assembling a range of food items using commercial ovens and rotisserie equipment. You’ll follow Costco’s recipes and production guidelines to maintain consistency and meet quality standards across the department. This includes coating ribs with barbecue sauce, mixing ingredients by hand, forming and assembling entrees, and operating an automated wrapping machine to package, seal, weigh, and label products.
Maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment is central to this role. You’ll be expected to comply with health codes related to sanitation, temperatures, and pull dates at all times. You’ll also perform preventative maintenance on equipment, clean and sanitize machinery, and keep the deli area tidy through sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing. Teamwork and a willingness to assist in other areas of the warehouse when needed are also part of the job.

Responsibilities

- Stock and rotate the display case to ensure product freshness and proper presentation
- Monitor quality and department consistency standards, including compliance with health codes around sanitation, temperatures, and pull dates
- Clean and sanitize all equipment by disassembling, spraying with cleaning agents, and washing parts in a 3-compartment or power soak sink
- Maintain the deli area by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, emptying drain screens, and operating the trash compactor and cardboard bailer
- Track production by counting product on hand, documenting daily production needs, and completing time and temperature record forms
- Provide courteous service to Costco members throughout the shift
Requirements / Skills

- Food Safety Certification – Level 1 is required starting your first day in the position
