About the Role: Senior Technical Solutions Consultant, Applied AI, Telephony
As part of the Cloud Applied AI team, you’ll help customers transform their businesses using Google’s global infrastructure and AI capabilities — including Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience, Agent Assist, CX Agent Studio, and Vertex AI Search. You’ll serve as a key technical bridge between Google’s product and engineering teams and enterprise clients, building solutions that deliver real, measurable value.
This role requires strong stakeholder management and communication skills, as you’ll regularly engage with cross-functional teams and customer executives. Collaboration, technical rigour, and the ability to navigate complex enterprise environments are all essential to succeeding here. You’ll also contribute to identifying product gaps and working with internal teams to design solutions that address real-world customer needs.
Benefits and Salary
The base salary range for this position in Canada is CAD $166,000–$170,000, plus bonus, equity, and a full benefits package. Individual pay within the range is determined by location, skills, experience, and relevant education. Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be expected to operate with startup-level agility while engaging some of Google Cloud’s most strategic enterprise customers. Your work will span the full arc of AI solution delivery — from early-access pilots to polished pre-sales presentations — making both technical depth and communication skills equally important.
- Build and pilot private preview AI features with early access partners, specifically Telephony solutions with CCaaS platforms
- Lead technical pilots and pre-sales pursuits, including technology advocacy, product briefings, proof-of-concept work, and coordination of supporting technical resources
- Prepare and deliver product messaging to articulate the Google Cloud AI value proposition through whiteboard sessions, slide presentations, product demos, white papers, and RFI responses
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of cross-functional and customer stakeholders using strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to identify product gaps and co-design solutions with cross-functional partners
Requirements / Skills
Google is looking for a candidate who brings a solid technical foundation in machine learning and conversational AI alongside proven experience in client-facing consulting or solution engineering roles. The ideal person is equally comfortable writing Python prototypes and presenting to enterprise stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in solution engineering, plus 3 years in stakeholder management, professional services, or technical consulting
- 3 years of Python prototyping experience, developing new functionality and solutions
- End-to-end ML project experience, from data collection through to production deployment
- Conversational AI experience, building chatbots or voicebots using platforms or custom solutions
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, ML certification, and experience building and deploying contact centre solutions
