About the Role: Senior Technical Program Manager, AI/ML, Workspace

As a Senior TPM within Google’s Workspace Ecosystem, you will own a portfolio of complex, often ambiguous programs from strategic inception through to successful delivery. This means setting direction alongside senior leadership, defining goals and success metrics, and orchestrating large-scale efforts that span multiple organizational boundaries. You’ll be instrumental in expanding the Workspace platform’s capabilities, market reach, and long-term impact — all while ensuring alignment across Product, Development, UX, DevRel, Marketing, and Sales teams.

This position demands a high degree of autonomy and technical judgment. Responsibilities

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will lead high-visibility programs that directly shape the direction of Google’s Workspace Ecosystem. Your work will have a measurable effect on product development, partner experiences, and the broader AI/ML strategy at Google. Here’s what the day-to-day looks like:

  • Identify and lead new opportunities to grow and improve the Workspace Ecosystem, influencing product roadmaps and strategic investments.
  • Define and manage the full lifecycle of a portfolio of complex and ambiguous programs — from strategic inception through to successful landing — ensuring alignment with long-term Workspace Ecosystem goals.
  • Develop and drive program and portfolio strategy, co-developing goals, priorities, and success metrics with senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with executive stakeholders across Product, Development, UX, DevRel, Marketing, and Sales, ensuring alignment and buy-in on program direction and execution.
  • Exercise technical judgment to guide development teams, contribute meaningfully to technical discussions, and ensure robust, scalable solutions are delivered.

Requirements / Skills

Google is looking for a technically grounded, strategically minded program leader who can thrive in complex, fast-moving environments. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in AI/ML program management, the confidence to influence at the executive level, and the technical depth to engage meaningfully with engineering teams. Here’s what’s required and preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in program management, with a focus on technical and cross-functional programs.
  • Experience developing GenAI Agents — a minimum qualification for this role.
  • Experience with model launch processes and lifecycle management.
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects (preferred).
  • Experience building AI features within a product or platform context (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills — ability to present technical analyses and recommendations clearly to both engineers and senior executives.
  • English proficiency is required for all Google roles to support global collaboration.
