About the Role: Senior Software Developer, Mobile (iOS)
As a Senior Software Developer on the Platforms and Devices team, you’ll be responsible for writing and testing product and system development code across iOS applications. You’ll take part in design reviews, contribute to architecture decisions, and review your peers’ code with a focus on quality, efficiency, and best practices. The role spans the full development lifecycle — from design through to debugging and resolution of production issues.
Beyond hands-on coding, this position carries a degree of technical leadership. You’ll guide peers through code reviews, contribute to documentation, and help shape how the team builds at scale. Benefits and Salary
For Canadian candidates, the salary range is $182,000 – $186,000 CAD, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and a full benefits package. Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be doing meaningful work that impacts iOS platforms at massive scale. From writing production-quality code to triaging complex system issues, your contributions will directly influence the quality and reliability of Google’s mobile experiences. - Write and test product and system development code to production-quality standards
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to evaluate and select appropriate technologies
- Review code developed by fellow developers and provide constructive feedback on style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency
- Contribute to existing documentation and educational content, adapting materials based on product updates and user feedback
- Triage and debug product or system issues, tracing problems to their source and resolving impacts on hardware, network, or service quality
Requirements / Skills
Google is looking for a developer who combines deep iOS expertise with the ability to lead technically and work within a fast-moving, large-scale engineering environment. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field
