About the Role: Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Requirements / Skills

Apple is looking for a self-driven ML engineer with real-world experience shipping models into production — not just building them in research settings. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth in machine learning and is comfortable collaborating across teams while keeping the end user experience in mind.

• MS in Machine Learning, Computer Science or a related field — or equivalent industry experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience shipping machine learning models in live products (5+ years preferred)
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or a related language
• Proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar tools
• Experience with text-centric AI/ML including LLMs, document classification, or search (preferred)
• Experience with recommender systems is a strong asset

• Ph.D. in Machine Learning or Computer Science is considered an advantage
