Responsibilities

Working as a Registered Pharmacy Technician at Costco means wearing a few different hats throughout the day.   • Fill prescriptions by retrieving stock, counting medication, labelling containers, and pricing — all under pharmacist supervision
  • Complete packaging verification for prescriptions previously reviewed by the pharmacist for therapeutic appropriateness
  • Alert the pharmacist to potential drug interactions between prescription and over-the-counter medications
  • Verify prescriptions and refills with physicians by phone and take verbal prescriptions as permitted by provincial regulations
  • Prepare third-party insurance claims, process invoices, and make accounting entries using the computerized system
  • Order, receive, tag, and stock prescription drugs, supplies, and OTC products; follow merchandising plans and product storage procedures
  • Support the department by creating product signs, performing stocking duties, and ensuring the area is clean and tidy at all times

Requirements / Skills
