Bakery Wrapper – Costco – Surrey, BC
Location: Vancouver, BC | Company: Costco Wholesale
Costco’s Surrey location on King George Highway is looking for a Bakery Wrapper to join their bakery team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who takes pride in food presentation, quality control, and keeping shelves stocked with fresh, well-packaged baked goods for members.
Day to day, you’ll be working directly with freshly baked products — garnishing, wrapping, labelling, and restocking the bakery floor. It’s a physically active position that blends production work with member-facing responsibilities in a busy warehouse retail environment.
About the Role: Bakery Wrapper
As a Bakery Wrapper at Costco Surrey, you’ll be responsible for handling baked goods from the moment they come out of production through to the point where they’re ready for members to grab off the shelf. That includes garnishing items, applying icing or glaze according to Costco’s established formulas, and wrapping products by hand or with a wrapping machine. You’ll also assemble cardboard packaging, weigh and label goods, and cull anything that doesn’t meet the department’s quality and consistency standards.
Beyond production, this role involves monitoring and restocking the bakery sales area, rotating stock, checking pull dates, and following health code requirements. You’ll also interact directly with members — answering questions, maintaining product knowledge, and keeping both the wrapping area and sales floor clean and safe. Food Safety Certification – Level 1 is required on your first day in the position.
Benefits and Salary
This position pays $20.00 per hour. Costco is well known for offering competitive compensation and a strong total rewards package for its employees, including benefits that reflect their commitment to employee wellbeing.
