Platform Architect – Apple – Montreal, QC

Montreal is home to one of Apple’s most technically demanding field roles — and the team is looking for a Platform Architect to join the Canadian Field Engineering group within Apple’s channel sales organization. This is a home office, field sales position that blends deep technical expertise with a consulting mindset, helping business and education partners across Canada successfully adopt and scale Apple’s platform within their organizations.

In this role, you won’t simply be selling — you’ll be shaping how organizations build, manage, and secure their Apple technology environments at scale. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to channel partners and customers, guiding the development of best-in-class IT practices and ensuring long-term success well beyond your direct engagement. The role includes up to 35% domestic travel, giving you broad exposure across Canada’s business and education sectors.

About the Role: Platform Architect

As a Platform Architect, your primary focus will be enabling partners and customers to deploy, manage, and secure the Apple platform at scale. You’ll address everything from user experience and application strategy to lifecycle management and support frameworks. A significant part of your work involves introducing long-term service offerings that partners can deliver independently — ensuring customers continue to thrive after your engagement wraps up.

This role sits within Apple’s Sales organization, which is, in many ways, the face of Apple to its largest customers. You’ll be expected to solve real business and technical challenges, translate complex solutions for executive audiences, and build lasting relationships with high-level stakeholders across industries. Responsibilities

This position is heavily consultative — the work spans technical architecture, partner enablement, and strategic customer engagement. As the primary technical resource for Apple’s channel sales partners in Canada, you’ll be expected to bring structure, clarity, and expertise to complex deployment environments on a daily basis.

• Guide partners in building best-in-class IT practices that support the scaled deployment and management of Apple’s platform
• Advise on security architecture, compliance frameworks, and platform security strategies across large, heterogeneous IT environments
• Support lifecycle management planning including deployment, user experience, application strategy, and ongoing support models
• Introduce and enable long-term service offerings that partners can deliver independently to ensure continued customer success
• Deliver compelling presentations, technical demonstrations, and seminars to both technical teams and executive stakeholders
• Build and maintain high-level relationships with channel partners and key customers across the education and business sectors
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Apple’s internal teams to address customer business and technical challenges

Requirements / Skills

Apple is looking for a candidate who combines serious hands-on technical depth with the communication skills to engage at an executive level. The ideal person thrives when navigating ambiguity, is passionate about Apple technology, and can translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for diverse audiences.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant technical field
• 7+ years of experience deploying and managing Apple technology in large, complex, heterogeneous IT environments
• Deep expertise with Mac client management solutions such as Jamf, Omnissa Workspace One, Microsoft Intune, pkgbuild, autopkg, Packages, or Composer
• Identity Provider knowledge including Microsoft Entra and Okta
• Programming and scripting skills including Python, Swift, Ruby, and UNIX shell scripting (bash, zsh, Bourne)
• Familiarity with digital employee experience tools such as osquery and application performance management platforms
• Fluency in both English and French is highly preferred given the Montreal-based territory
• Strong presentation and communication skills — able to present at executive level and tailor messaging to both technical and non-technical audiences
