About the Role: Pharmacy Clerk Certified
As a Certified Pharmacy Clerk at Costco Richmond, you’ll be working directly under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist to assist with the full cycle of prescription services. Day-to-day duties include helping patients at the counter, retrieving and processing prescriptions, and managing register transactions including payments, cheques, and credit and debit charges. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining accurate patient profiles and entering prescription data into the pharmacy computer system in compliance with provincial regulations.

Responsibilities
Working as a Certified Pharmacy Clerk at Costco means being an integral part of a busy pharmacy team. Your responsibilities span patient interaction, prescription support, inventory management, and administrative tasks — all of which contribute to a smooth and compliant pharmacy operation.
- Assist patients at the counter, receive written prescriptions for the Pharmacist, and retrieve filled prescriptions promptly
- Process register transactions including receiving payment, making change, and handling cheques, credit, and debit charges
- Update patient profiles and enter prescription information into the pharmacy computer system within the scope permitted by provincial regulations
- Support prescription filling by retrieving stock bottles, counting, pouring, labelling, and pricing prescriptions under direct Pharmacist supervision
- Prepare third-party insurance claims, process invoices, and make accounting entries using the computerized system
- Order, receive, tag, and stock prescription drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter products in accordance with departmental standards
- Answer phones and direct members to product locations with prompt and courteous service
- Maintain department cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, wiping, dusting, and emptying trash as required
- Assist in other warehouse areas as needed
Requirements / Skills
