Member Service Assistant – Costco – Montréal, QC
Location: Montreal, QC | Company: Costco Wholesale
Costco’s warehouse location at 1015 Marché Central in Montréal, QC is looking for a Member Service Assistant to join their front-line team. This role puts you at the heart of the member experience — from the moment shoppers walk through the door to when they head home with their cart full. If you enjoy being on your feet, interacting with people, and taking workplace safety seriously, this could be a solid fit.
Day-to-day, you’ll be doing a mix of member greeting, receipt verification, security monitoring, and warehouse safety checks. It’s a hands-on, active role that requires both people skills and attention to detail. You’ll also be conducting perimeter checks using your personal vehicle after hours, so a valid driver’s licence is a must.
About the Role: Member Service Assistant
As a Member Service Assistant at Costco Montréal, you’ll serve as one of the first and last points of contact for members visiting the warehouse. Your duties span member greeting, membership verification, entry counting, and keeping the entrance and exit areas clean and welcoming. You’ll also monitor and assist members at the exit by checking receipts against merchandise — a key part of Costco’s loss prevention and member accountability process.
Safety is a significant part of this position. You’ll conduct hourly warehouse safety and security checks, identify and resolve hazards like spills and blocked exits, complete inspection forms, and report findings to the duty manager. You’ll also play a role in after-hours security by watching the exit door from your personal vehicle and driving the warehouse perimeter. This requires discretion, reliability, and the ability to communicate via two-way radio. As this position is at a Quebec location, candidates must be able to communicate in French (oral and written).
Benefits and Salary
Costco is widely recognized across Canada for offering competitive compensation and a strong benefits package to its employees. While specific salary details are not listed in this posting, Costco is known to provide benefits such as health and dental coverage, paid time off, and employee perks including access to Costco membership benefits. Details about compensation will be discussed during the hiring process.
