About the Role: Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent

Each day starts at the Canada Post depot, where you’ll sort and prepare outgoing deliveries before loading them into a postal vehicle. From there, you’ll head out on your assigned route — delivering packages and mail on foot or by vehicle, rain or shine. At the end of your shift, you’ll return to the depot to unload incoming mail for future delivery.

This role requires reliable physical fitness, a clean driving record, and a positive attitude no matter the weather. You’ll be representing Canada Post directly in the community, so professionalism and dependability are essential. The position also falls under safety-sensitive guidelines, meaning adherence to Canada Post’s Substance Use Policy is required.

Responsibilities

Requirements / Skills

Canada Post is looking for dependable, physically fit candidates who are comfortable working outdoors in all conditions and can commit to an on-call schedule. • Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record of at least 3 years (driver’s abstract required)
• Physical ability to lift mail items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
• Availability to work on-call and adapt to varying daily schedules
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions year-round
• English and/or French language communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)
• Customer service experience is an asset, as is prior delivery or driving experience
