About the Role: International Sports Marketing Lead
The International Sports Marketing Lead will be responsible for the end-to-end development and execution of global integrated marketing campaigns for Apple’s sports properties. This means driving strategy from annual planning through full-funnel activation — connecting brand storytelling to measurable outcomes across regions. You’ll set benchmarks and KPIs for the Sports business, including the Apple Sports app, and own models for key strategic initiatives while monitoring global industry trends.
The role demands strong cross-functional collaboration — you’ll work closely with creative teams, product teams, and international agency partners to deliver localized, geo-relevant campaigns. You’ll also regularly present analyses, strategies, and performance learnings to senior executives, ensuring all marketing aligns with Apple’s brand standards and design principles.
Benefits and Salary
The base pay range for this role is between $156,600 and $235,100 CAD, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Beyond base compensation, Apple employees can participate in discretionary employee stock programs, including restricted stock unit award recommendations and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Responsibilities
As the International Sports Marketing Lead, your day-to-day work spans strategic planning, campaign execution, performance analysis, and executive communication. You’ll be the connective tissue between global marketing strategy and local market activation, ensuring Apple’s sports marketing fires on all cylinders across every geography.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing plans for F1, MLS, Friday Night Baseball, and Apple Sports, driving awareness, acquisition, engagement, and retention
- Partner with worldwide geo teams, Sports Marketing Leads, and international agencies on annual planning, paid media campaigns, and budget management
- Collaborate with creative teams to deliver localized, geo-relevant campaigns and activations across all Apple sports properties globally
- Lead key international partnerships from strategy through to execution, identifying and unlocking local opportunities to expand plans globally
- Drive cross-platform promotion and engagement across Apple Services internationally within the broader Apple ecosystem
- Synthesize multi-geo audience insights and translate them into accountable marketing strategies grounded in KPIs and budget discipline
- Operationalize systems and processes that keep the marketing team aligned, unblocked, and moving with speed and clarity
- Present strategies, creative concepts, and performance learnings to senior leadership, aligning on priorities and business impact
- Ensure all marketing reflects Apple’s brand standards, design principles, and tone of voice
Requirements / Skills
Apple is looking for a seasoned marketing leader who brings both strategic depth and executional rigour to this role. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated history of building high-impact campaigns in sports, entertainment, or digital media, and the interpersonal skills to align large, cross-functional teams around shared goals.
- 15+ years of experience in sports marketing, entertainment, or digital media, with a proven record of leading high-impact initiatives and driving user growth for consumer-facing digital/mobile products
- Multi-geo integrated campaign expertise, from brand strategy through full-funnel activation, with exceptional storytelling connecting creative ideas to measurable business outcomes
- Cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies and compelling presentations for senior leadership
- Bachelor’s Degree (required); MBA is considered an asset
- Deep passion for sports, technology, and media, with a strong understanding of sports culture, fan behaviour, and emerging consumer trends across diverse regions
- Self-starter mindset with comfort navigating fast-paced, ambiguous environments while balancing marketing, product, and business priorities
