About the Role: Gateway Sunrise Int’l Ramp Agent
As a Ramp Agent, your primary focus is the loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking of packages. You’ll follow UPS’s established package handling methods and may operate heavy machinery to complete tasks efficiently. The work is straightforward but demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to varying parcel volumes.
This is a Tuesday to Saturday position, with start times around 07:00 to approximately 11:00 am, depending on daily volume. Some flexibility to start earlier than 07:00 or stay beyond 11:00 am is preferred. The role requires a valid Red RAIC card or proof of residing in Canada for at least five years, along with a Class 5 driver’s licence, making it particularly suited to candidates already familiar with the regulated airport/cargo environment.

Responsibilities
Day to day, a Ramp Agent at UPS keeps freight moving accurately and on time.
- Load and unload UPS packages into and out of trailers safely and efficiently
- Scan, sort, and stock packages according to UPS processing standards
- Ship and receive freight, ensuring accuracy at every stage of the handling process
- Learn and apply UPS package handling methods correctly and consistently
- Operate heavy machinery as required to support warehouse and ramp tasks
- Complete additional tasks as assigned in a fast-paced operational environment
Requirements / Skills
- Physical fitness: ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32 kgs.) regularly throughout the shift
- Postal code literacy: ability to read and memorise postal codes for sorting accuracy
- Schedule availability: available to work flexible shift hours up to 5 days per week (Tuesday–Saturday)
- Valid Red RAIC card required, or documented presence in Canada for at least 5 years
- Class 5 driver’s licence: valid licence is mandatory for this position
- DA or DAW status preferred without suspension
- Warehouse experience: preferred but not strictly required
