The AWS IQ & AWS Marketplace Professional Services team owns the professional services experience on AWS Marketplace. This team is responsible for two products, AWS IQ and Marketplace Professional Services.

The team manages the product roadmap, technical design, engineering processes, launch plans, go-to-market strategies, and P&L. Made up of product managers, technical leaders, and motivated software engineers, this team operates two real-time web applications while continuously developing new functionality to serve customers better.

As a Front End Engineer II, you will lead the development and improvement of backend services that support these applications, meeting high customer expectations for usability and performance. You will design and implement product and platform features that deliver scalable benefits to customers. This role requires diving deep into technical details while providing strategic direction for product development.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceive, design, and bring innovative products to market.
  • Design and build technologies within a large, distributed computing environment and contribute to industry-wide changes.
  • Create scalable solutions for predictions on distributed systems with exposure to cutting-edge technologies.
  • Develop distributed storage, indexing, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-efficient.
  • Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software and drive continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications

The following qualifications are required for the Front End Engineer II role:

  • 2+ years of non-internship experience in front end, web, or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • 1+ years of experience with computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
  • Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.

Preferred Qualifications

Amazon prefers candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year to $191,800/year. Salary is based on several factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to salary, Amazon offers equity, sign-on bonuses, and other forms of compensation. Employees also benefit from a comprehensive package that includes medical, financial, and other perks.
