About the Role: Food Service Assistant – Food Court

As a Food Service Assistant at Costco Surrey, you’ll be responsible for preparing and selling a range of hot food and drink items to members. This includes rolling and topping pizzas, baking and slicing them, steaming hot dogs, and operating dispensing machines for drinks and desserts. You’ll also handle the full cash handling process — ringing up sales, collecting payment, and making change — as well as taking pizza orders at the counter and by phone.

Keeping the workspace clean and safe is a core part of this role. You’ll be expected to follow health codes including sanitation guidelines, proper food temperatures, product rotation, and expiration date compliance. Pulling stock from the warehouse, restocking shelves and coolers, and taking garbage to the compactor are all part of what keeps the Food Court running efficiently.

  • Clean and sanitize machines, work surfaces, pans, utensils, and counters; take garbage to the trash compactor
  • Pull ingredients and supplies from the warehouse; stock shelves, coolers, and freezers; stage ingredients for preparation
  • Follow health codes including sanitation requirements, proper temperatures, product rotation, and expiration dates

Requirements / Skills
