Responsibilities
The Food Service Assistant role at Costco’s Kelowna Food Court is varied and fast-paced. You’ll be responsible for everything from prepping and baking food items to cleaning equipment and supporting warehouse stock pulls — all while keeping member satisfaction front and centre.

- Operate food service equipment such as deep fryers, steamers, and warming units safely and efficiently
- Process transactions by ringing up sales, collecting payments, making change, and taking pizza orders in-person and by phone
- Dispense dessert and drink items like frozen yogurt, lattes, and smoothies; clean, sanitize, and refill dispensing machines as needed
- Maintain the eating area by bussing and sanitizing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, and emptying trash receptacles
- Sanitize all work surfaces, machines, pans, utensils, and counters in compliance with health and safety standards
- Pull and stock ingredients from the warehouse to shelves, coolers, and freezers; stage ingredients in preparation areas
- Follow health codes related to sanitation, product temperatures, rotation, and expiration dates
- Assist in other warehouse areas as required to support overall operations
Requirements / Skills
