About the Role: Engineering Program Manager, App Store Developer Experience

As an Engineering Program Manager on the App Store Developer Experience team, you’ll lead and influence the delivery of large-scale, cross-functional projects from conception through to launch. You’ll define business and functional requirements — often writing them yourself — and own overall schedules that may span multiple engineering teams including client, server, tools, and reporting. Your work directly shapes the systems and pipelines that power one of the world’s most-used digital marketplaces.

Success in this role requires a balance of technical acumen and organizational leadership. You’ll manage scope, timelines, resource allocation, stakeholder communications, and risk assessments across several concurrent initiatives. Benefits and Salary

Apple offers a base pay range of $127,600 to $191,800 for this role in Vancouver, with your actual pay determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Beyond base pay, the total compensation package includes eligibility for discretionary restricted stock unit (RSU) awards and participation in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan, allowing employees to purchase Apple stock at a discount. Additional benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted Apple products and free services, and tuition reimbursement for formal education related to career advancement at Apple. Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be at the centre of App Store feature delivery, guiding cross-functional teams from requirements through to launch. The work spans multiple concurrent projects, requiring you to maintain clarity, prioritize effectively, and keep stakeholders informed every step of the way. Your contributions will directly influence how the Apple Developer community experiences the platform.

  • Lead and influence the delivery of business-critical App Store features, working under tight timelines and often with limited initial direction

  • Define business and functional requirements for features and supporting systems — frequently writing them yourself

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, QA, Legal, Privacy, Trust & Safety, Operations, and Marketing to manage feature delivery pipelines
  • Manage stakeholder communications, risk assessments, and escalation paths across the full project lifecycle

Requirements / Skills

  • 5+ years of technical program and/or project management experience involving complex server/client interactions
  • Technical foundation in basic data modelling, state machine design, and an understanding of tooling from both a technical and human interaction perspective
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or computing disciplines (or equivalent work experience)
  • Exceptional organizational skills with acute attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a constantly evolving environment
  • Outstanding communication skills at all organizational levels, with a talent for fostering positive working relationships
  • Strong facilitation skills — requirements gathering, design reviews, cross-functional stakeholder meetings, status reporting, and schedule management
  • iOS mobile app development experience is a significant asset
  • Experience leveraging AI tools in day-to-day responsibilities to improve efficiencies, generate status updates, and support reporting
