About the Role: Employee Relations Business Partner

The Employee Relations Business Partner functions as a trusted advisor to managers, leaders, and employees throughout Apple’s Retail organization. Working in close partnership with Centers of Excellence, you’ll identify and resolve complex ER issues — including cases where no clear precedent exists — while ensuring that every decision reflects legal compliance, Apple’s policies, and the company’s core values. This role covers all Canadian provinces, requiring both English and French-Canadian language proficiency.

You’ll also play a key role in the broader ER ecosystem — analyzing case trends through case management systems, developing proactive strategies to support positive employee relations, and delivering training to HR teams and line management. Apple offers a competitive base pay range of $113,400 to $170,100 for this role, with your exact pay determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Responsibilities

As the Employee Relations Business Partner, you’ll handle some of the most nuanced and consequential situations that arise in a large retail organization. Your ability to balance legal compliance with human-centred decision-making will be central to how you operate in this role. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:

  • Identify and resolve complex and highly sensitive employee relations issues, including situations where no established precedent exists
  • Advise and influence market leadership on critical ER decisions including harassment, business conduct, terminations, and HR policy matters
  • Evaluate and review employee-related decisions in response to concerns raised by employees
  • Conduct workplace investigations involving potential misconduct and policy violations of varying complexity
  • Assess workplace violence situations and develop and implement appropriate response plans
  • Provide consultation on workplace accommodations in collaboration with business partners
  • Implement and communicate country-wide employee relations programs, policies, and procedures
  • Deliver training to HR, ER, and line management teams on employee relations topics
  • Analyze ER metrics through the case management system to identify trends and develop proactive strategies for positive ER outcomes

Requirements / Skills
