About the Role: Employee Relations Business Partner

The Employee Relations Business Partner is embedded within Apple’s HR function and works closely with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure that legal compliance, policy adherence, and fair workplace practices are upheld consistently. You’ll handle a broad portfolio of cases — including misconduct investigations, workplace violence assessments, and accommodation consultations — while also delivering training to HR and line management teams on employee relations topics.

This is a bilingual role requiring working proficiency in both English and French-Canadian, as you’ll be supporting employees across all Canadian provinces. You’ll need to be comfortable with ambiguity, skilled at balancing competing priorities, and capable of influencing senior leadership through clear, evidence-based recommendations. Responsibilities

As an Employee Relations Business Partner at Apple, your day-to-day work spans a wide range of HR disciplines — from sensitive investigations to proactive policy coaching. These responsibilities are critical to maintaining a fair, compliant, and people-centred workplace across Apple’s Canadian Retail operations.

  • Identify and resolve complex and highly sensitive employee relations issues, including situations where no established precedents exist
  • Advise and influence market leadership teams on critical ER decisions such as harassment, business conduct, terminations, and HR policy application
  • Evaluate and review employee-related decisions in response to employee concerns, ensuring consistency and fairness
  • Conduct investigations into potential misconduct and policy violations with varying levels of complexity and risk
  • Assess and respond to workplace violence situations, implementing appropriate response plans as needed
  • Provide consultation on workplace accommodations in partnership with HR business partners
  • Implement and communicate country-wide employee relations programs, policies, and procedures
  • Deliver training to HR, ER, and line management on employee relations topics and best practices
  • Analyze ER metrics through the case management system to identify trends and develop proactive strategies for positive employee relations

Requirements / Skills
