About the Role: Electronics/Majors Sales Assistant
As an Electronics/Majors Sales Assistant at Costco Surrey, your primary focus is delivering prompt, courteous service to members shopping in the electronics, major appliances, and jewellery sections. You’ll demonstrate products, answer questions about features and specifications, and help members get their selections to the cart. Keeping up with industry magazines and product reviews is part of the job — so a genuine interest in technology is a real asset here.

Responsibilities
Working on the sales floor in a high-traffic department means no two days are exactly the same. The Electronics/Majors Sales Assistant is responsible for keeping the department running smoothly — from member interactions to behind-the-scenes stocking and maintenance tasks that keep the floor looking its best.
- Assist members with product questions, feature demonstrations, and loading purchases to their cart
- Stay current on technology trends by reading industry magazines, product reviews, and experimenting with merchandise
- Communicate with the Area Manager regarding product quantity, status, pricing, delivery schedules, and promotions
- Maintain displays by setting up, cleaning, aligning, and facing product to the front of shelves
- Process member returns by checking and approving returned products
- Create and verify signage to ensure product labels and pricing are accurate
- Participate in merchandise moves, review stocking lists, and stock product to maintain high inventory levels on the floor
- Organize and maintain the security item lock-up and keep the sales floor clear of debris
Requirements / Skills
Costco is looking for someone who can balance strong customer service with the organizational discipline to keep a busy department well-maintained. Candidates with previous retail sales experience — particularly in electronics or appliances — will have an advantage in the selection process.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Sales experience will be given preference over other candidates
- Must pass Costco’s PC/Electronics knowledge test
- Strong communication skills to effectively assist members and coordinate with management
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented warehouse environment
