About the Role: Delivery Driver

As a UPS Delivery Driver based out of 575 Harwood Ave N in Ajax, you’ll be responsible for efficiently delivering and collecting packages while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. The role requires both driving time and hands-on package handling — expect to be on your feet and active throughout each shift.

Safety is central to how UPS operates. Drivers are trained in safe and defensive driving methods, and you’ll be expected to follow all company guidelines, including wearing the provided uniform and adhering to appearance standards. This is a full-time, unionized position with Tuesday to Saturday workdays, giving you Sundays and Mondays off most weeks.

Benefits and Salary

This position starts at $20.00 per hour with guaranteed wage progression through the Union Collective Agreement — reaching $42.33 per hour after 48 months. You’ll receive weekly pay via direct deposit every Friday, plus overtime opportunities. After one year of service, you gain access to extended health care benefits covering vision, health, life insurance, and dental. Paid vacation starts at 2 weeks after your first year and grows to up to 6 weeks after 25 years. Note that monthly union dues of approximately $52/month and a one-time $50 union initiation fee (deducted after 90 working days) apply.

Responsibilities

  • Navigation proficiency using maps, GPS devices, and map books to find locations efficiently
  • Availability Tuesday through Saturday with flexibility to occasionally work Mondays, and ability to handle shifts ranging from 8 to 10 hours
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment regardless of outdoor temperatures
