About the Role: Bakery Wrapper

As a Bakery Wrapper at Costco Toronto, you’ll be responsible for the finishing and presentation of baked goods. That means removing products from baking containers, applying icings, glazes, and garnishes according to Costco’s specific formulas, then wrapping and packaging items either by hand or using a wrapping machine. You’ll also assemble cardboard packaging, weigh and label products, and cull any items that don’t meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

The Bakery Wrapper role at Costco Toronto is centred on producing and presenting high-quality baked goods for members every day. From the back-of-house production process to the front-of-warehouse sales floor, you’ll play a key part in maintaining Costco’s bakery standards and member experience.

  • Garnish and finish baked goods with icing, glaze, or sprinkles according to Costco formulas and department production procedures
  • Wrap and package baked goods by hand or using a wrapping machine, and assemble pre-cut cardboard boxes for packaging
  • Weigh and label products accurately, culling broken, underweight, heavy, or defective goods to maintain quality and consistency
  • Transport product by manoeuvring large wheeled metal racks throughout the department
  • Monitor and restock the bakery sales area, rotate stock, and track pull dates in compliance with health codes
  • Provide prompt and courteous member service, maintain current product knowledge, and direct members to items and services in the warehouse
  • Maintain cleanliness in the wrapping area and sales floor, and follow all safety and security procedures
  • Assist with additional bakery duties and support other warehouse areas as needed

Requirements / Skills
