About the Role: Bakery Wrapper

Responsibilities

Day-to-day work as a Bakery Wrapper at Costco involves a mix of food preparation, packaging, quality control, and member-facing duties. Every task you carry out contributes directly to the quality and presentation of Costco’s bakery products on the sales floor.

  • Remove and prepare baked goods from baking containers for finishing and packaging
  • Garnish and finish products by drizzling icing or applying glaze according to Costco’s formulas and production procedures
  • Wrap and package baked goods by hand or with a wrapping machine, and assemble pre-cut cardboard packaging boxes
  • Weigh and label products, culling any items that are broken, underweight, heavy, or defective to maintain quality standards
  • Move product using large wheeled metal racks throughout the bakery area
  • Monitor and restock the bakery sales area, rotate stock, check pull dates, and comply with health codes
  • Provide courteous service to members, answer product questions, and direct them to locations within the warehouse
  • Maintain cleanliness of the wrapping and sales areas and follow all safety and security procedures
  • Assist with other bakery and warehouse duties as needed

Requirements / Skills
